Mrs. Sara Dirks
Mrs. Dirks currently teaches early grades for Freedom Christian Academy. She has been teaching for a really long time. She can often be found snacking on cheese sticks and Pringles, mostly because things still don’t smell or taste right since she had COVID a few years back. Mrs. Dirks is really funny. Don’t believe me, just ask her or ask Mrs. Haley. We love Mrs. Dirks and are so blessed to have her, her experience, and most importantly, her love and commitment to Jesus!
Mrs. Ronda Gillespie
Mrs. Gillespie currently teaches intermediate grades for Freedom Christian Academy. She has been teaching for a long long time. She can often be found breakfasting on yogurt with lots of yummy seeds in it that her husband makes her every morning. Mrs. Gillespie is really really nice. We’re often a little worried that the rest of the staff might be rubbing off on her, because we continue to see little mischievous glimmers. Oops! We love Mrs. Gillespie and are so blessed to have her, her joy for teaching and learning, and most importantly, her love and passion for Jesus!
Mrs. Ashley Haley
Mrs. Haley currently teaches kindergarten for Freedom Christian Academy. God bless her because the author couldn’t do it! She has been teaching for almost a decade now. She can often be found, well, they say a picture’s worth a thousand words… ’nuff said. Mrs. Haley is really funny. Don’t believe me, just ask her or ask Mrs. Dirks. They have a running comedy act. We love Mrs. Haley and are so blessed to have her, her exuberance, and most importantly, her unabashed love for Jesus!
Mrs. Nicole Nanny
Mrs. Nanny currently teaches upper grades for Freedom Christian Academy and keeps the wheels on the bus behind the scenes. She has been teaching for an embarrassingly long time. She can often be found snacking on “bird seed,” as one staff member likes to call it. Mrs. Nanny is not nearly as funny as Mrs. Dirks or Mrs. Haley, but she has her moments. We love Mrs. Nanny and are so blessed to have her, her level-headedness, and most importantly, her faithful trust in Jesus!
Miss Michaela
Miss Michaela is our invaluable Teaching Assistant. She works with all grade levels and helps keep things running smoothly. We seriously don’t know what we would do without her!

The staff at Freedom Christian Academy is extremely honored to serve the families who are part of our community. All of our teachers are certified in one or more states, including Arizona, and have high expectations of their students. Students excel under the tutelage of our staff, and nothing brings us greater joy than seeing them grow academically and in their relationships with Jesus.
